I come from a world, and you might too, where V.B.S. means "Vacation Bible School".
Well, ladies and gentlemen, I hate to disappoint you, but around here, it stands
for something else (though similar!) In our little corner of the world, we're
calling V.B.S. "Virtual Bible Study", and it's exactly what it sounds like!
When you sign up
for a V.B.S. you are signing up for a weekly Bible study series. This
series might be based on a book in the Bible, a certain topic, or even a couple
of Bible verses, and will last for a length of time that will vary from study
to study. You will have to sign up for each V.B.S. series separately,
so don't worry about being "stuck" on a mailing list.
What you can expect:
One weekly email will be sent to you, describing that week's focus. It might
include the verses being studied and several questions to get you thinking
(or it might not, guess you'll just have to sign up to find out, huh?) ;)
When you're ready, head to our discussion forums and join in the conversation
on that week's focus - in it's own forum and everything! :)
